Osteopath, Psychoneuroimmunologist, Physiotherapist
Esteban has a unique approach to health in clinic using experience from a master’s degree in Psychoneuroimmunology alongside being a qualified osteopath and physiotherapist.
You may wonder what Psychoneuroimmunology is – The field of psychoneuroimmunology (PNI) examines the bidirectional interactions between the brain, behavior, and immunity and the effect of these interactions on mental and physical health.
With appointments with Esteban they will including the structural side of a manual therapist (osteopathy), but also the functional side of the body, considering and addressing the different systems involved in disease hierarchically, allowing him to treat a wide range of pathologies including musculoskeletal, metabolic, nutrition, sleeping issues, digestive (CONSTIPATION, IBS-IBD), auto-immune (ARTHRITIS, HASHIMOTO, DIABETES), allergies, migraines and acute/chronic pain.
Esteban particularly enjoys looking after people with multiple symptoms, where he can apply all his knowledge from hands-on therapy including manipulations, joint mobilization, soft and deep tissue massage, cranial and visceral work, to restore the balance of stress axis, autonomic, immune, metabolic and endocrine systems through different strategies such as diet, supplementation, physical exercise and intermittent habits.
Esteban originally trained as a physiotherapist in Chile in 2013, continuing on completing his Osteopathy Masters in 2016.
After obtaining his master’s degree he decided to continue his studies from a more global perspective considering all the factors which can lead to diseases, he learned about a new medicine in Europe called evolutive medicine, which drew his attention because of its approach to health, considering the patient and their context
from a biopsychosocial environmental perspective, with a solid foundation in human evolution and
using 100% evidence-based medicine. As a result, he studied a master’s degree in
Psychoneuroimmunology accredited by The University of Salamanca-Spain. He thinks this Master’s is totally complementary with osteopathy and physiotherapy, since its focus is on the psycho-neuro-immune- metabolic-endocrine systems, which are the systems involved in every disease.
