Mount Pilates specialises in small, personal Pilates classes, semi-private and private sessions.
Our studio is light and bright, with a warm sense of community. We really look after our clients and love being a part of your journey towards physical and emotional well-being. We have a strong focus on quality education, individual attention and real results. All of our Pilates instructors are highly trained, with a broad knowledge base and share a genuine passion for what they do.
We only run small, intimate classes and pride ourselves on getting to know you as individuals with your very own unique physicality, lifestyle, and goals. Pilates is for every body – you don’t have to be in perfect shape to start.
If you find yourself sedentary at a desk or on your feet all day, or if you simply want to increase your body awareness, get fit and de-stress, Pilates is the perfect workout. It will bring you back to your centre and correct postural alignment, leaving the body and mind calm, stretched and renewed. You’ll feel stronger, move smoother, breathe better and stand taller.
Our classes are all done on Pilates reformer equipment, creating a full body workout that will engage your brain, too! The ‘Reformer’ is a spring resistance machine that sits on the floor and allows us to increase resistance and intensity to challenge you or provide support when you need it. We like to keep our classes small and personalised – 4 students per class – so that each client receives individual attention and guidance from our expert instructors.
We run Beginner’s and Good Back Programs, Essentials and Advanced Classes, Pregnancy and Mums&Bubs Classes using the reformer and trapeze tower.
Private and Semi-Private Studio Pilates sessions use the whole range of pilates equipment, including the Reformer, Wunda Chair, Ladder Barrel, Spine Corrector and Trapeze Tower. We will identify your goals, undertake a movement study, and then write you a personal program to follow under close supervision of our instructors. Because we gain a deep understanding of your capabilities in a studio setting, we can really maximise your progression.
Here in Mt Maunganui we have fantastic beaches, fabulous cafes and lots of opportunities to have fun outdoors – it’s the perfect place to lead a healthy lifestyle. Regular Pilates sessions will help you feel your best so you can enjoy everything on offer. We recommend 2-3 sessions per week but even one session will be a great addition on the path to a fitter and healthier lifestyle!
